TFM 76%

I have good tolerance. I have watched most illogical of Tamil movies for hours without any discomfort. Half of those movies, I ended up seeing it again for a different reason. But, my temper takes a free ride every time I watch the 10 second "Nature Power bath soap" commercial in SUN TV. I follow only two programs in SUN TV. Call it co-incidence, both are sponsored by the same soap manufacturer. I have never failed to complain whenever the commercial was on air.

This is how the commercial unfolds. One good looking lady asks the other on how she chooses her bath soap. "Looking at good commercials", responds the other lady. The first woman retorts that it is very important to look into the ingredients and claims that "Nature power bath soap" is the best soap as it has TFM of 76%.

Now, What the heck is TFM? I definitely tried to guess its expansion. Nope, nothing popped up. If it is not so intuitive, why not explain what TFM means? I haven't done any investigation on the success of this commercial. I don't know if it had boosted the sales. However, looking at the number of times it is advertised, I believe this commercial is a hit. I don't know whom I should blame. The makers of this commercial? or People who just heed to this nonsensical marketing?

Today, I ran to my bathroom and searched for those magical letters in all my body wash liquids. No cure for my curiosity yet. Little did I forget my friend, Google. All I had to do was to search "TFM bath soap". ooh, I got lucky.

Definition: TFM = TOTAL FATTY MATTER. It is used as a quality check of bathing (soft soap ) in india above 70 % TFM is treated as good quality soap.

I haven't watched the commercial after my finding. I uncertain how I would react. Probably I would not complain. Whatever, the commercial sucks.
